The Chicago Daily Tribune published today a report from St. Petersburg that the heir to the Russian throne, Grand Duke Michael, is engaged to be married. His bride-to-be is Duchess Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Duchess Cecilie is the daughter of the late Grand Duke Franz Friedrich of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna of Russia.

Grand Duke Michael is the younger brother of Tsar Nicholas II. He remains heir presumptive to the throne as Nicholas is the father of four daughters. Women can succeed to the Russian throne, but only after all of the men.

just as well Cecile was never married to Michael as I doubt she would have survived the russian revolution!
