Nada de Braganza weds in Capri

September 2, 1930

It was reported today that Miss Nadejda de Braganza, daughter of Princess Miguel de Braganza of New York City and Newport, Rhode Island, was married in Capri, Italy, on August 16.

The New York Times reports that Miss de Braganza married Vadim Dorozynski, son of Captain Stanislas Dorozynski, a former captain in the Russian Navy, of Paris. No other details of the wedding are known. The bride is the daughter of the late Prince Miguel de Braganza, who died in 1923. He was the eldest son of the pretender to the Portuguese throne.

Although her mother "legally renounced her title of Princess" when she regained her American citizenship, she "continues to be called Princess by her relatives and friends." The Princess de Braganza, the mother of the bride, is the former Anita Rhinelander Stewart, the daughter of the late William Rhinelander Stewart, who died more than a year ago, and left a "handsome fortune to his daughter and son."

The Princess has a home at 49 East 72nd Street in New York City. For several years, she has "maintained a photographic studio, having been an ardent amateur photographer." She went to Europe in early July, where her daughter has been living for a year.

Mrs. Dorozynski made her debut in society at the Newport Country Club, in July 1928, where "she was the first debutante of the season." Earlier this year, the New York Times reported that Miss de Braganza "was about to start a course in stage training at Max Reinhardt's school of acting in Vienna."
