October 1, 1938

The New York Times is reporting that Grand Duke Kirill, pretender to the Russian throne, is  "dangerously ill in the American Hospital" in Paris.  His physician Dr. Laurence S. Fuller, is consulting with Prof. Leriche, a French arteries specialist, on "whether to amputate the grand duke's right leg."
